  • A cash subsidy of ₹300 per 14.2 kg cylinder is sent by the Central Government to the eligible beneficiaries of the Ujjwala scheme directly into their Aadhaar-linked bank account through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT).

  • This simply means that if a typical consumer in Delhi pays ₹942.00, the effective cost for the Ujjwala beneficiary after subsidy refund is only ₹642.00 It falls.

  • Similarly, in Lucknow, after subsidy, compared to the market price of ₹ 979.50, the cylinders given to Ujjwala families are priced at around Rs. ₹679.50 It is worth Rs. A family gets this subsidy on a maximum of 12 refill cylinders in a financial year.

While domestic LPG prices remain stable, the prices of 19 kg commercial gas cylinders (Commercial LPG) used by hotels, dhabas, restaurants and confectioners are revised as per the international gas benchmark on the 1st of every month. Currently, a 19 kg commercial cylinder is being sold at ₹ 2,810.00 in Delhi and ₹ 2,932.50 in Lucknow. No subsidy of any kind is applicable on commercial cylinders.
