Love of soil: Dharmendra used to order Gajrel from Sahnewal every year, sweets were also ordered from Sahnewal in Karan Deol's wedding


Fog : Bollywood actor Dharminder Mayankari, despite living in Mumbai, is still associated with Sahnewal village. His house is in the old market of Sahnewal. His father Kishan Singh was a teacher in Sahnewal area. The whole family lived in Sahnewal. Sadhu Ram had a number one sweet shop of that time in the old market. This shop is next to Dharmendra's house. Today it is run by Sadhu Ram's children Sanjeev Kumar and Rajiv Kumar and Hitesh Pathak in the fourth generation. Dharmendra loves all their sweets. Even today he orders Mumbai Gajrela from Sahnewal every year. Even at the wedding of his grandson and Sunny Deol's son Karan Deol, Dharmendra had ordered sweets from Sahnewal.

Rajiv Kumar told that his grandfather Sadhu Ram loved Dharmendra very much. Rajeev said that once Dharmendra Sahnewal came and I told him that I am the grandson of Sadhu Ram, he was very happy to meet me and shared old things. Since then he is in touch with Dharmendra. Even today, sweets, especially Gajrela, are sent to Dharmendra from his shop to Mumbai.

Ramesh Kumar Pappu told that his old house was next to Dharmendra's house. Dharmendra lived with father Master Kewal Kishan Singh, mother Satwant Kaur, two sisters Minna, Munni and brother Ajit Singh. He loved our family. Even today, when Gajrela goes to Mumbai from Nambardar Sweet Shop, Dharmendra smells the village.

Hitesh Kumar, owner of Nambardar Sweet Shop, told that Dharmendra uncle loves his father Sanjeev Kumar and aunt Rajeev Kumar very much. They send Gajrel to Mumbai every year. If someone goes to Mumbai and takes the name of his great grandfather Sadhu Ram, Dharmendra uncle's entire family welcomes him. Uncle Dharmendra is still associated with Sahnewal.
