Hisar, 8 October (Hissar). Counting of votes in all seven assembly constituencies of the district was completed peacefully on Tuesday. Of the seven assembly seats in the district, Congress has won three, BJP has won three and an independent candidate has won one. There was a one-to-one contest on most of the seats in the district and except Barwala, the candidates who stood third in every seat could not save their deposits.

Independent candidate and country's richest woman Savitri Jindal has won the election from Hisar assembly seat. He defeated Ramniwas Rada of Congress by 18 thousand 941 votes. Here Cabinet Minister Dr. Kamal Gupta stood third and his deposit was forfeited. Mayor Gautam Sardana also lost his bail. He got only 6831 votes and stood fourth.

From Hansi Assembly Constituency, BJP's Vinod Bhayana secured 78 thousand 686 votes and defeated Congress's Ravindra Makkar by 21 thousand 460 votes. Ravindra Makkar got 52 thousand 226 votes. Apart from him, the deposits of 11 other candidates were confiscated. BJP candidate Randhir Panihar won the election from Nalwa assembly constituency by getting 66 thousand 330 votes. He defeated Anil Mann of Congress by 12 thousand 144 votes. Mann got 54 thousand 1886 votes. From Barwala, BJP candidate Ranbir Gangwa defeated Congress's Ramniwas Ghodela by 26 thousand 942 votes. Ranbir Gangwa got 66 thousand 843 votes and Ghorela got 39 thousand 901 votes. Here INLD's Sanjana Satrod performed well and got 29 thousand 55 votes.

Among the seats going to Congress, Naresh Selwal defeated BJP's Anup Dhanak by 28 thousand 92 votes from Uklana Assembly seat. Congress's Naresh Selwal got 78 thousand 448 votes and BJP's Anup Dhanak got 50 thousand 356 votes. A total of seven candidates were in the fray here, out of which the deposits of five were forfeited. From Narnaund assembly constituency, Congress candidate Jassi Petwad secured 84 thousand 801 votes and defeated BJP's Captain Abhimanyu by 12 thousand 578 votes. Captain Abhimanyu got 72 thousand 223 votes. Here too, the deposits of 12 candidates including INLD, JJP and AAP were confiscated. For the first time, victory has gone outside this family in Adampur, the stronghold of former Chief Minister Bhajan Lal. Here Congress candidate and retired IAS Chandraprakash won the election by only 1268 votes and defeated BJP's Bhavya Bishnoi. Chandraprakash of Congress got 65 thousand 371 votes, while Bhavya got 64 thousand 103 votes. Here too, apart from Chandraprakash and Bhavya, the deposits of 10 other candidates contesting the elections were confiscated.

District Election Officer and Deputy Commissioner Pradeep Dahiya said that the vote counting process for all seven assembly constituencies of the district has been completed in a fair, transparent and peaceful manner. All the winning candidates have been given certificates of victory by the respective returning officers.
