Lottery conducted in Jaipur for the applications received for Senior Citizen Pilgrimage Scheme | News India

Jaipur, 30 September (Hindustan Reporter). Under the Senior Citizen Pilgrimage Scheme, the Devasthan Department has started the lottery for applications for free religious pilgrimage from different districts. On Monday, the lottery of Jaipur district was conducted by Jaipur Collector Dr. Jitendra Kumar Soni in the Secretariat. Along with this, lottery of Jaipur Rural and Dudu district was also held. In which three thousand 164 senior citizens were selected for the religious journey. In this religious journey, 527 senior citizens will go to Pashupatinath (Nepal) by air. Apart from this, 2 thousand 636 devotees will visit major pilgrimage sites of the country by train.

Giving information about the Senior Citizen Pilgrimage Scheme, Minister in-charge Jogaram said that 17 thousand 86 elderly people of Jaipur, Jaipur Rural and Dudu district had applied for free religious pilgrimage. At the same time, 10 thousand 534 elders from Jaipur city had also applied to go on pilgrimage. In which 1564 applicants were selected through lottery on Monday. In which 1328 will undertake religious journey by rail and 266 by air. 5 thousand 888 senior citizens from Jaipur Rural had also applied. In which 1406 passengers were selected through lottery. In which 1172 successful applicants will undertake the religious journey by rail and 234 by air. 164 passengers have been selected from Dudu district. Of these, 136 devotees will travel by rail and 27 by air.

If for some reason you do not go on the trip, you will get a chance in the next list.

Senior citizens selected in the Free Pilgrimage for Senior Citizens will be taken on a pilgrimage to one of the three pilgrimage places. If the selected senior citizen is not able to go on pilgrimage for some reason, he will be given a chance to go on pilgrimage in the second and third list. The Devasthan Department will prepare the outline of the yatra after the lottery. This yatra will be organized around Diwali.
