Pratapgarh, 11 May (HS). Bharatiya Janata Party and its ally Apna Dal (S) hold two of the five assembly constituencies in Pratapgarh Lok Sabha seat. Three MLAs of Congress and Samajwadi Party are in control. In the Lok Sabha elections, SP-Congress alliance candidate Shivpal Singh Patel and current BJP MP Sangam Lal Gupta are trying their luck again on Pratapgarh seat. This time a close contest is visible between these two in the Lok Sabha elections 2024. Sangam Lal Gupta was elected MP from Pratapgarh in the 2019 elections, defeating the Bahujan Samaj Party candidate.
