Jhansi, 03 May (Hindus). Friday was the last date for filing nomination papers for the fifth phase of Lok Sabha elections-2024. 21 candidates are contesting for Jhansi-Lalitpur Lok Sabha seat. On the last day on Friday, 4 people filed nominations. Apart from this, Congress candidate Pradeep Jain submitted the third and fourth sets and BSP candidate Ravi Prakash submitted the third set. Altogether 28 people had purchased nomination papers, out of which 7 people did not turn up to file their nominations.
All nomination papers will be scrutinized on Saturday i.e. 4th May. Candidates will be given a chance to withdraw their nominations on May 6. After this the final list of candidates will be revealed. Voting will be held in Jhansi and Lalitpur on May 20. Whereas on May 4, counting of votes will take place simultaneously in the entire country.

BSP candidate took out a procession
BSP's worker conference was held in Kunj Vatika near Avt Market intersection of the metropolis. Chief guest Shamsuddin Rain, in-charge of Western UP and Uttarakhand, appealed to vote for BSP.
