Loknayak Jayaprakash Narayan remembered on his birth anniversary, speakers shared memories

Dehradun, 11 October (HS). Under the joint aegis of Doon Library and Research Center and Sarvodaya Mandal Dehradun, the 122nd birth anniversary of Loknayak Jaiprakash Narayan, the messiah of total revolution in India, was organized in the Doon Library Auditorium. The speakers threw light on the personality and works of folk hero Jayaprakash Narayan. Also shared many memories related to him.

Keynote speaker, prominent litterateur Somwari Lal Uniyal underlined Jayaprakash Narayan's revolutionary and his contribution to Sarvodaya. Throws detailed and emotional light on his leadership role in the Gujarat and Bihar movements and his role in the formation of the Janata government despite ill health during his MISA detention during the Emergency.

Co-speaker socialist thinker Dr. Satyanarayan Sachan recalled his immense contribution in the restoration of democracy after the revolutionary changes in Indian politics under the leadership of Jayaprakash Narayan. At the beginning of the program, Dr. Avneet Kumar Ghildiyal, former Principal of SMJN PG College, gave detailed information on the personality and work of Jayaprakash Narayan.

The meeting was conducted by the city's well-known advocate Harveer Singh Kushwaha. District Sarvodaya Mandal Dehradun President Yashveer Arya gave the vote of thanks. Dr. Vijay Shankar Shukla, the originator of Sarvodaya ideas also presented his views in the programme. Rajendra Gupta, Ramchandra Yadav, Neeru Sharma, Indu Shukla, Rashmi, KB Naithani, Painuli, Naveen Mittal, Surendra Singh, Jaiprakash Dinkar, Chandrashekhar Tiwari, Rakesh Kumar, Devendra Kandpal, Shailendra Nautiyal etc. were present in the program.

Expressed grief over the demise of Shashi Prabha Rawat, paid tribute

At the end of the program, District Minister of Sarvodaya Mandal Kusum Rawat proposed condolence on the demise of Shashi Prabha Rawat, a famous Gandhian Sarvodaya Sevak of India and Uttarakhand. Reminded of his sacrifice, penance-filled life, his simplicity and lifelong dedication and devotion towards Sarvodaya. The people present paid silent tribute to Shashi Prabha Rawat.
