Lok Sabha Elections: Two papers rejected during scrutiny of nomination papers

Hamirpur, 04 May (HS). On Saturday, the scrutiny of parliamentary constituency 47-Hamirpur (General) Lok Sabha constituency was completed by Returning Officer/District Magistrate Rahul Pandey. During this, General Observer Priyanka Das was also present. After scrutiny, the list of validly nominated candidates has been released.

After scrutiny, Ajendra Kumar Singh from Samajwadi Party, Nirdesh Kumar Dixit from Bahujan Samaj Party, Kunwar Pushpendra Singh from Bharatiya Janata Party and candidates from registered political parties (recognized) as candidates from recognized national and state political parties. Anupam's nomination on behalf of Bharatiya Shakti Chetna Party (as distinct from national and state political parties) was found valid.

Similarly, Dharamraj from Al Hind Party, Brijesh Kumar Pal from Rashtra Uday Party, Suresh Kumar from Eklavya Samaj Party, Sanjeev Kumar from outspoken Jan Aadhar Party, Bhuvanendra Narayan Singh and Rajesh Singh as independent candidates. And the nominations of Santosh Kumar were found valid.

The nomination papers of Rashtriya Bundelkhand Vikas Party candidate Parath Singh and independent candidate Sarath Kumar Vyas were rejected due to incomplete affidavits. After the deadline for withdrawal of nominations on May 6 at 3 pm, there will be distribution of election symbols and a meeting of the candidates with the observers. The voting process will be completed on May 20, 2024, fixed for the fifth phase by the Election Commission of India.
