Lok Sabha elections: Till now 2,13,144 employees have voted across the state

Jaipur, 23 April (HS). So far, 2,13,144 votes have been cast at the facilitation centers set up in all the districts by the personnel, police officers etc. engaged on Lok Sabha election duty. Of the total personnel who opted for the facility of Postal Ballot and EDC, 89.08 percent have exercised their franchise. Voting process is going on in 13 Lok Sabha constituencies going to polls in the second phase, the personnel can vote on different days till April 25.

Chief Electoral Officer Praveen Gupta said that so far the franchise has been exercised by 85,777 policemen, 12,887 RAC, 955 GRP, 1,078 private (drivers) and 1,12,447 other polling personnel in the state. Facilitation centers have been set up for voting through postal ballot for the officers and employees appointed for election work in all the Lok Sabha constituencies and other districts of the state where voting is taking place in the second phase.
