Lok Sabha elections: BJP showed the way home to leaders who made controversial statements

In the first list of candidates for the Lok Sabha elections, BJP has shown the way home to the leaders who made controversial statements. Sadhvi Pragya is also included in this list.

BJP has released its first list with names of 195 candidates for the Lok Sabha elections. In this list, 33 sitting MPs have been given tickets again.

Along with this, the BJP high command has also canceled the tickets of the leaders who gave controversial speeches. This list includes the names of former Delhi CM Sahib Singh Verma's son Pravesh Verma, Bhopal MP Sadhvi Pragya Thakur, South Delhi MP Ramesh Bidhuri and former Union Minister and Hazaribagh MP Jayant Sinha.

These four controversial leaders had been giving controversial statements for some time. After which he came in the news. BJP had also issued show cause notices to these leaders at that time. After which the leaders also apologized to the party high command.

On social media, people are taunting the supporters of these leaders for not giving them tickets. Many users have written on social media that even after apologizing, the high command has not forgiven them. One user wrote, it seems that Babuji (Modi-Shah) has not forgiven him yet.

By not giving tickets to these leaders, BJP has made it clear that it will not tolerate any kind of indiscipline.

Sadhvi Pragya Thakur
BJP has fielded Alok Sharma in place of sitting MP Sadhvi Pragya Thakur from Bhopal seat of Madhya Pradesh. During the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, Sadhvi Pragya Thakur defeated veteran Congress leader Digvijay Singh.

Despite being successful in the elections, Sadhvi Pragya Thakur's tenure has been surrounded by controversies. His comments on Karkare's death during the Mumbai terrorist attacks added to the controversy, leading to the Election Commission of India issuing him a show cause notice.
Apart from this, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Amit Shah and party chief JP Nadda did not like the celebration of Nathuram Godse, the murderer of Mahatma Gandhi.

Pravesh Verma
BJP has fielded Kamaljit Sehrawat from Delhi's West Delhi seat by canceling the ticket of its sitting MP Pravesh Verma. Last year, there were reports that the BJP leadership had strongly condemned Pravesh Verma's remarks in which he had called for economic boycott of a particular community.

Pravesh Verma made the remarks during a gathering called Virat Hindu Sabha organized by the local unit of Vishwa Hindu Parishad and other Hindu organizations in East Delhi on October 9 last year.

In a speech, Parvesh Verma called for complete boycott of these people without naming any particular community.

Ramesh Bidhuri
BJP MP Ramesh Bidhuri had recently created a big controversy by making derogatory remarks on MP Danish Ali during the debate on the success of Chandrayaan-3 mission. A video of Ramesh Bidhuri's controversial remarks targeting Danish Ali quickly went viral on social media.

BJP President JP Nadda issued a show cause notice to his party MP Ramesh Bidhuri for using objectionable language against Danish Ali inside the Parliament. The objectionable comments were expunged from the parliamentary record and Defense Minister Rajnath Singh expressed regret for Bidhuri's behavior during the session.

Jayant Sinha
This time BJP has given ticket to MLA Manish Jaiswal in place of the party's current MP Jayant Sinha from Hazaribagh Lok Sabha seat. Jayant Sinha, son of former Union minister Yashwant Sinha, had earlier said that he had directly requested party president JP Nadda to be relieved of election duties.

This tax provides financial assistance to pay the legal fees of those accused of murder. Later the photo of this incident went viral which led to controversy. After being released on bail, all these six accused were taken directly to the minister's house in Hazaribagh. About which BJP is worried.
