He said that after scrutiny of nomination papers, 140 candidates are in the fray in nine parliamentary constituencies of the state. These include 16 candidates in Lok Sabha parliamentary constituency number-1 Morena, eight candidates in number-2 Bhind (SC), 21 candidates in number-3 Gwalior, 17 candidates in number-4 Guna, 14 candidates in number-5 Sagar, number-18 Nomination papers of 16 candidates in Vidisha, 25 candidates in serial no. 19 Bhopal, 15 candidates in serial no. 20 Rajgarh and eight candidates in Lok Sabha parliamentary constituency no. 29 Betul (ST) have been found valid. At the same time, nomination papers of two candidates in Lok Sabha parliamentary constituency Morena, one in Bhind, one in Gwalior, four in Vidisha, three in Bhopal, one in Rajgarh and one in Betul were rejected as they were not found valid after scrutiny.
