Lok Sabha elections: 293 flying squads and 252 statistics surveillance teams deployed

Dehradun, 15 April (HS). In view of the voting, 293 flying squads and 252 statistics surveillance teams have been deployed in all the 13 districts of the state. Three days before voting, 12 polling parties will leave for the state. There will be dry day in the state from 17th April to 19th April.

Additional Chief Electoral Officer Vijay Kumar Jogdande held a press briefing in the media center located at the Secretariat. During this, he told that voting is to be held on April 19 at 11729 polling booths in Uttarakhand. Voting time will be from 07 am to 05 pm. A more intensive checking campaign is carried out in all these teams 72 hours before the polling day.

The period of 72 hours before voting will start from tomorrow. In view of this, sealing will be carried out on the international border. The checking campaign will also be carried out intensively on the inter-state border. Instructions have been given for intensive checking at all check posts. There will be a dry day in the state from 17th April 05 pm to 19th April 06 pm.

Additional Chief Electoral Officer said that the process of randomization of polling parties is still in progress. There are 12 polling parties in the state that leave three days before the polling day. In which 11 are in Uttarkashi district and one in Pithoragarh district. Tomorrow all these 12 polling parties will depart. The process of providing material to these polling parties will start from Tuesday morning.
