Lok Sabha elections 2024: 'There are not one or two, but five power centers in Congress', Sanjay Nirupam exposed everyone

Lok Sabha Elections 2024: Sanjay Nirupam, a well-known North Indian face of the Congress Party, has been expelled from Maharashtra. He was expelled from the party for 6 years due to his involvement in anti-party activities. Meanwhile, Congress leader Sanjay Nirupam himself has claimed on social media that he himself has left the party.

He has claimed on the social media platform that after his resignation, the party has passed a resolution to expel him. Let us tell you that Sanjay Nirupam was giving statements against the party for the last few days, after which Congress had removed Sanjay from the list of star campaigners.

Sanjay Nirupam also shared a copy of his resignation letter on X. With this he wrote – It seems that after the party received my resignation last night, they decided to expel me immediately. Glad to see such promptness.

Sanjay Nirupam appeared before the media on Thursday. He said that earlier Congress had a power center and a caucus against which the rest used to fight. At present there are 5 power centers in the Congress Party. These five are five caucuses at the center of power, each with their own lobbies that clash with each other.

Sanjay Nirupam said that the first power center among these five power centers is of Sonia Gandhi. The second power center is of Rahul Gandhi. The third center belongs to sister (Priyanka Gandhi). The fourth power center is that of the Chairman. There are people who have no political base. They have suddenly become powerful. Sanjay Nirupam further said that apart from this, the last power center belongs to AICC General Secretary KC Venugopal. They also do their politics in their own way. The party has suffered this loss due to the ongoing conflict in these power centres.

Earlier, in the Congress meeting held on Wednesday, a proposal was passed to expel former Mumbai Congress President Sanjay Nirupam from the party. Now this has been approved with the consent of the party high command. On March 31, Congress announced the list of 40 star campaigners in Maharashtra for the Lok Sabha elections. Sanjay Nirupam's name was also there in this. But on April 3, he was removed from this list.

Maharashtra Congress President Nana Patole said that his (Sanjay Nirupam) name is included in the list of star campaigners. We have removed it. The way his statements are coming is anti-party. Sanjay Nirupam wanted to contest elections as a Congress candidate from Mumbai North West seat, but Shiv Sena UBT made Amol Kirtikar its candidate from here, due to which Nirupam got angry. Sanjay Nirupam was preparing to contest elections from here. Rahul Gandhi himself had assured him of giving him a ticket from here.

Sanjay Nirupam had earlier also criticized Shiv Sena's dominance over Congress in the UBT seat distribution. There is speculation that Sanjay may join BJP. There is also talk that if his deal with Shiv Sena is finalized then he can contest against Uddhav Thackeray's candidate Amol Kirtikar from Mumbai North West seat.
