Former Congress President Sonia Gandhi has given her first reaction on the results of the exit polls regarding the results of the Lok Sabha elections. She said on Monday (June 3, 2024) that we will have to wait.
We have to wait now: Sonia Gandhi
Congress leader Sonia Gandhi said, “We have to wait now. We are hopeful that the results will be exactly opposite to the exit polls.” In fact, the opposition alliance 'India' is claiming that it is going to get 295 seats in the public exit poll. Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge also reiterated this after the recent meeting of the opposition alliance 'Bharat'.
What did Mallikarjun Kharge and Rahul Gandhi say?
Mallikarjun Kharge said in a nearly two and a half hour meeting of the opposition alliance 'Bharat' at his residence that the alliance will get at least 295 seats or more. Meanwhile, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi has called the exit polls a fantasy poll of PM Narendra Modi. Referring to a song by singer Sidhu Moojwala, he said that the grand alliance is going to get 295 seats. Most exit polls claim that the BJP-led National Democratic Alliance (NDA) can regain power. The opposition alliance 'Bharat' is denying this.
