Lok Sabha Elections 2024: Latest polling at 6 polling stations in Outer Manipur
As mentioned earlier, the Election Commission of India declared polling at six polling stations in Outer Manipur parliamentary constituency void and announced fresh elections at these stations on 30 April. Chief Electoral Officer, Pradeep Kumar Jha further appealed to these voters to come to the polling stations in large numbers to exercise their franchise.

In an official statement, the ECI said, “The Election Commission of India has directed under Section 58(2) and 58A(2) of the Representation of the People Act, 1951, that the polling be held on April 26, 2024 (Friday). ) 2- Outer Manipur (ST) Parliamentary Constituency in respect of 6 polling stations listed in the table below will be voided and the date of fresh polling at the said polling stations along with polling hours will be 30th April, 2024 (Tuesday ) will be appointed. From 7:00 am to 4:00 pm.”
Re-polling in Manipur after the first phase of Lok Sabha elections 2024
As said earlier, this is not the first time in the Lok Sabha elections 2024 that re-polling is being conducted after the completion of one phase. Even after the first phase, re-polling was announced at 11 polling stations in I-Inner Manipur constituency. Fresh polling was held on April 22, four days before phase 2, at 11 polling stations in I-Inner Manipur parliamentary constituency. An official notice in this regard was issued by the Chief Electoral Officer of Manipur and it mentioned that the voting took place on April 19. Deemed illegal and hence re-elections are being held.

- The first phase was held on 19 April, during which voting took place in 102 constituencies across 21 states.
- Voting took place in 89 constituencies across 13 states in the second phase on 26 April.
- The third phase will take place on May 7 with voting in 94 constituencies across 12 states;
- Phase 4 on May 13 with voting in 96 constituencies across 10 states;
- May 20 is the date for phase 5 when voting will take place in 49 constituencies across eight states;
- The sixth phase will take place on May 25 with voting in 57 constituencies across seven states.
- The last phase of voting will be held on June 1 on 57 seats in eight states.
- Counting of votes i.e. declaration of results will take place on June 4, 2024.
