Congress sources have suggested the possibility of Wayanad MP Rahul Gandhi contesting from the Amethi Lok Sabha seat, which he lost to BJP's Smriti Irani in the 2019 elections. This will be in addition to Wayanad seat.
Sources in the Congress party have indicated that Rahul Gandhi may stand as the party candidate in Amethi.
These sources have indicated that Rahul Gandhi may file his nomination from Amethi constituency after the voting for Wayanad seat ends after April 26. Currently, he is contesting from Wayanad where voting is scheduled on April 26.
