Baghpat: Rashtriya Lok Dal (RLD) on Monday released the list of two candidates for the Lok Sabha elections 2024, and also announced one candidate for the Uttar Pradesh Legislative Council elections 2024.
According to the released list, Chandan Chauhan from Bijnor and Dr. Rajkumar Sangwan from Baghpat are in the fray. Apart from this, the name of Yogesh Chaudhary has been announced for Uttar Pradesh Legislative Council.
Till Monday morning, there were speculations that either Jayant Choudhary himself would contest the elections from Baghpat Lok Sabha seat or his wife Charu Choudhary would contest the elections, but as soon as the list was released the whole picture became clear.
RLD leaders are happy after alliance with BJP
Ever since the announcement of alliance between BJP and RLD, the morale of RLD leaders is high. Everyone says that now NDA will dominate western UP including Baghpat. RLD national general secretary Chaudhary Sukhbir Singh Gathina said that we welcome the decision taken by the party high command. The alliance with RLD and BJP will strengthen NDA in the North-West including Baghpat. RLD District President Chaudhary Rampal Dhama said that RLD and BJP will contest the Lok Sabha elections strongly. RLD will work for the interests of all sections on its policy and principles.
