Lok Sabha Elections 2024: The Election Commission of India has issued a notification banning the conduct, publication or dissemination of exit polls from 7:00 am on April 19 to 6:30 pm on June 1, corresponding to the voting period for the upcoming Lok Sabha. And assembly elections of four states.

The notification also clarifies that, as per the Representation of the People Act, display of any election-related material, including the results of opinion polls or any other survey, on any electronic media during a period of 48 hours is prohibited.

Apart from the Lok Sabha elections, assembly elections will be held in the states of Andhra Pradesh, Arunachal Pradesh, Odisha and Sikkim. Besides, by-elections will also be held on 25 assembly seats in 12 states during this period.
