Lok Sabha elections are to be held in Tamil Nadu on 19 April. Senior BJP leader Amit Shah on Saturday held a road show in support of BJP's Lok Sabha candidate Pon Radhakrishnan in Kanyakumari Lok Sabha constituency. Encouraged by his visit, hundreds of party workers joined Shah in a road show from Mettukadai Junction, Thakkale to the old bus stand in Kanyakumari.
Slogans of 'Modi government again' echoed in the grand road show
Amit Shah greeted the workers from his specially designed vehicle and showed the party's lotus symbol across the constituency, while party members once again chanted slogans like Modi government, “Bharat Mata ki Jai” and “Purva Sangh Ponnar Slogans of “Phir Phir Ek Baar” were raised by the minister, who is fondly called Ponnar by his supporters.
Modi is taking the country on the path of progress
In his address, Shah said that Modi is taking the country on the path of progress. People in Tamil Nadu were raising slogans for more than 400 seats, he said, indicating the BJP's aim to achieve this number of constituencies. Shah also urged the people to vote for the party's candidate VS Nandini for the Vilavancode by-election and ensure her victory.
