Lok Sabha Elections 2024: 75 representatives from 23 countries will monitor the elections: ECI

Lok Sabha elections are going on in India and till now two rounds of voting have taken place. Meanwhile, the Election Commission of India says that 75 international representatives from election management organizations from 23 countries have arrived in India to observe the Lok Sabha elections in the country. Actually, these international representatives have been called to observe the electoral process in India.

According to further details, the Election Commission of India said that representatives representing various election management institutions and organizations from 23 countries including Bhutan, Mongolia, Australia, Madagascar, Fiji, Kyrgyz Republic, Russia, Moldova, Tunisia, Seychelles, Cambodia, Nepal, 75 reps. Philippines, Sri Lanka, Zimbabwe, Bangladesh, Kazakhstan, Georgia, Chile, Uzbekistan, Maldives, Papua New Guinea and Namibia will participate in this event.

Indeed, the Election Commission said that the program seeks to introduce foreign election management organizations to the nuances of India's electoral system as well as the best practices used by the world's largest democracy.

Counting of votes will take place on June 4

Let us tell you that with the announcement of the Election Commission, the process of formation of the 18th Lok Sabha has started. The tenure of the 17th Lok Sabha ends on 16 June 2024. In such a situation, elections will be held in seven phases and counting of votes on all seats will take place on June 4. At present voting has taken place in two phases. Whereas the third phase of voting will be held on May 7. In which elections will be held on 94 seats in 12 states.

There are still 5 phases of elections left to be held

Along with this, the fourth phase of elections will be held on May 13. In which elections will be held on 96 seats in 10 states. Also, the fifth phase of elections will be held on May 20, in which voting will be held on 49 seats in 8 states. At the same time, the sixth phase of elections is to be held on May 25. In which voting will be held on 57 seats in 7 states. After this, the last 7th phase of voting will be held on June 1, in which voting will be held on 57 seats in 8 states.
