Lucknow, August 10 (HS). Lok Dal state president Rao Iqbal Mohammad Khan resigned from his post. After resigning, he went straight from his office to the state office of Rashtriya Lok Dal (RLD) and met the party's national secretary Anupam Mishra. There was a long discussion between the two and after this Rao Iqbal announced joining RLD.
Welcoming him into the party, RLD National Secretary Anupam Mishra said that Shri Rao has been in RLD before and today he has returned home. Certainly, his return will not only give us political strength but will also help in uniting our scattered family.
It is worth mentioning that for the last few months, Anupam Mishra has been working on a war footing to build and expand an effective grassroots organization in eastern Uttar Pradesh and to bring back old members who had left the party for some reason. He said that on August 12, in the presence of the National General Secretary Organization and the State President, Rao Iqbal will formally join the party along with his colleagues.
