Lohardaga, September 9 (HS). A meeting of the mining task force was held in the Collectorate auditorium today under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner Dr. Waghmare Prasad Krishna. In the meeting, action taken against illegal sand lifting and illegal mineral transportation was reviewed station wise.
In the meeting, all the zonal officers and police station in-charges were instructed to jointly conduct raids and submit the action report to the mining officer and Deputy Commissioner's office. The Deputy Commissioner said that as per the NGT order, sand mining and lifting from rivers is closed till October 15. In such a situation, all the officers and police station in-charges should ensure that this order is followed in letter and spirit in their respective areas. Action should also be taken against those who illegally transport bauxite, iron, coal etc. Ensure that all orders are complied with.
Superintendent of Police Haris Bin Zaman, District Transport Officer Sanjay Kumar, Additional Collector Jitendra Munda, Sub-Divisional Officer Amit Kumar, Assistant Mining Officer, all Zonal Officers, all Police Station Incharges and others were present in the meeting.
