Today also, most of the districts including Morbi, Gir Somnath, Rajkot, Amreli, Devbhoomi Dwarka, Porbandar, Bhavnagar received heavy rain ranging from 1 to 4 inches. Due to continuous rain, the rivers and canals of Saurashtra have flooded and new water has come in the reservoirs. Apart from this, many paved roads have submerged in water. Meanwhile, a heart-wrenching rescue video has surfaced from Kalawad in Jamnagar.
Actually, today there was 2 inches of heavy rain in Kalawad of Jamnagar till 8 pm. Due to heavy rain, low lying areas are flooded. Waterlogging has also occurred in many villages. In such a situation, Chhatar village of Kalawad tried to cross the flood by taking an old bike.
However, the old bike started struggling with the strong current of water. However, on getting to know about the matter, the locals of the village came to the rescue. The locals also jumped into the strong water and pulled the old man out. However, his bike kept getting dragged in the flow of water.
Let us tell you that the grace of Meghraja was seen in 36 talukas of Saurashtra throughout the day. Out of which Tankara of Morbi district has received the maximum rainfall of 4 inches. Apart from this, 3 inches of rain has been recorded in Kodinar of Gir Somnath, 3 inches in Gondal of Rajkot, 3/4 inch in Junagadh, 2/4 inch in Danta of Banaskantha, 2 inches in Jetpur of Rajkot, and one and a half inch in Kalawad of Jamnagar. Thus, 18 talukas of the state have received an average of more than 1 inch of rain.
