Litterateurs celebrated the birth anniversary of Kanhaiya Lal Mishra Prabhakar

Araria, May 29 (HS). The birth anniversary of Padmashree award winning writer Kanhaiya Lal Mishra Prabhakar was celebrated on Wednesday at the PWD campus located in Professor Colony of Forbesganj under the chairmanship of writer Mangan Mishra Martand. The program was conducted by Manish Raj. After paying tribute to the photo, writers including Mangan Mishra Martand, Hemant Yadav, Amitabh Pandey, Harishankar Jha, Harinandan Mehta, Sunil Das and Vinod Kumar Tiwari expressed their views on the personality, deeds and creations of Kanhaiya Lal Mishra “Prabhakar”.

The speakers said that Kanhaiya Lal Mishra Prabhakar, born on 29 May 1906 in Deoband (Saharanpur), left his studies in his youth and jumped into the freedom struggle. He went to jail many times during the freedom struggle. He was the editor of Vikas, Naya Jeevan and Gyanodaya. He received the Padma Shri award in 1990. His works include Zindagi Muskai, Mati Ho Gaya Sona, Tapti Pagdandiyon Par Pad Yatra, Deep Jale Shankh Baje etc. He died on 09 May 1995.

On this occasion, student Mayank Kumar, son of Manoj Kumar, who performed well in the CBSE 10th board examination, was awarded the “Dwijdeni Pratibha Samman”. Among those present on the occasion were Shiv Narayan Chaudhary, Arvind Thakur, Ashok Kumar Yadav, Jaykant Mandal, Palakdhari Mandal, Sitaram Bihari etc.
