Link Voter ID with Aadhar Card before Lok Sabha elections, this app will be useful!

Now only a few days are left for the Lok Sabha elections. To vote in elections, you must have a Voter ID card. You can also link this Voter ID card with Aadhar card. For this, the Government of India has opened many call centers across the country. You can link both the cards by calling 1950 and giving Aadhar card and PAN card information.

Why is it necessary to link Voter ID card and Aadhar card?

It is not mandatory to link Aadhaar card with Voter ID card. It is entirely your decision to link these two cards together or not. But this process proves helpful for the Election Commission in preventing duplicate registration of voters in different constituencies.

How to link Voter ID card and Aadhar card?

If you want to link Voter ID card with Aadhar card then you can go to Aadhar center. You can easily link both the cards offline by visiting the nearest Aadhaar center and paying only a nominal fee. Apart from this, you can also link both the cards to each other through message.

through SMS

You can link Aadhaar card to Water ID card through message sitting at home. For this you will have to follow the following steps.

1. Your phone number should be linked to Aadhaar card and registered with Aadhaar card.

2. Apart from this you have EPIC number. And Aadhaar number should be in hand or remembered.

3. Now you have to write ECILINK in the same format from the registered mobile number and send it to 166 or 51969. Your work will be done.

Link Aadhaar and Voter ID through Voter Helpline App.

1. If you are an Android phone user then go to Google Play Store and download the Voter Helpline App.

2. Now open this app and select I Agree on the terms and conditions.

3. Now click on Next button and select Voter Registration option.

4. Now open the Electoral Authentication Form (Form 6B).

5. Here click on Let's Start button.

6. Enter the mobile number linked to your Aadhar card.

7. Now you will receive an OTP on this number, enter it and verify.

8. Now click on Yes, I have Voter ID and tap on Next button.

9. Later you have to select Voter ID Number (EPIC), State and click on Fetch Details.

10. After doing this, press the Proceed button.

11. Now fill the information like Aadhaar number, mobile number, location etc. and click on Done button.

12. Later verify all the details by reviewing the page of Form 6B.

13. After doing this, confirm the form and submit it.
