Kanpur, 22 August (HS). Cyclonic circulation is present in Uttar Pradesh due to which there will be continuous movement of clouds in the sky. Apart from this, the monsoon trough line is also present, although it is weaker than the past days. The Meteorological Department says that there is a possibility of light rain in Uttar Pradesh for the next three days and the temperature will remain normal these days, which will provide relief from the humid heat to a great extent.
Dr. S N Sunil Pandey, Meteorologist of Chandrashekhar Azad University of Agriculture Technology, said on Thursday that a low pressure area has formed over northern Bangladesh and adjoining areas. The associated cyclonic circulation extends up to 7.6 km above sea level. It is expected to move westwards towards West Bengal during the next 48 hours. The monsoon trough at mean sea level is now moving towards the Bay of Bengal in an east south-east direction through the center of the low pressure area over Ganganagar, Hisar, Agra, Satna, Ranchi, Bankura, North Bangladesh. A cyclonic circulation is also formed over north-west Uttar Pradesh. In such a situation, there is less possibility of heavy rain for the next three days, although light to moderate rain will continue with strong winds. The movement of clouds in the sky along with rain will keep the temperature normal and the humid heat will also weaken. On Friday, light to moderate rain is expected in Chandauli, Varanasi, Sant Ravidas Nagar, Shravasti, Bahraich, Jaunpur, Lakhimpur Kheri, Sitapur, Barabanki, Banda, Chitrakoot, Kaushambi, Prayagraj, Fatehpur, Pratapgarh, Sonbhadra, Mirzapur, Amethi, Sultanpur, Rae Bareli, Mathura, Agra, Firozabad, Pilibhit, Mahoba, Jhansi, Lalitpur and surrounding areas.
He said that the maximum temperature in Kanpur was recorded at 33.6 and the minimum temperature at 25.4 degrees Celsius. The relative humidity in the morning was 83 and the relative humidity in the afternoon was 67 percent. The average speed of the winds was 2.2 km per hour and the rainfall was 1 mm.
