Jagdalpur, June 16 (HS). After the rain accompanied by thunder and lightning in Bastar today on Sunday evening, people are now believing in the possibility of continuous monsoon rain. It is worth mentioning that a day before, on Saturday late evening, there was light rain in some areas, but there has been no significant fluctuation in the temperature. People have been troubled by the heat and humidity since this morning.
Bastar district remained the hottest with a temperature of 36.8 degrees even after the rain on Saturday, a day before. The Meteorological Department has recorded maximum temperature of 35 degrees in Dantewada and 36 degrees in Narayanpur. About a week ago, after the announcement of monsoon entering Bastar via Sukma, some districts witnessed light rain within the first one or two days. With which the weather became pleasant. After this, the monsoon went astray. After this, light rain occurred in Jagdalpur, Dantewada, Bijapur and some adjoining areas on Saturday evening.
According to the Meteorological Department, a cyclonic circulation is tilted towards south with a height of 1.5 km and 5.8 km above the mean sea level in southwest Rajasthan and the surrounding area. Due to which light rain was expected at some places in the state including Bastar today, but today on June 16, there was bright sunshine in Bijapur, Sukma, Dantewada, Jagdalpur and surrounding areas due to which everyone was troubled by the heat, while on Sunday evening, it started raining in some areas of Bastar.
