Prayagraj, 14 October (Hindustan Reporter). A life-size bronze statue of Late Kamla Bahuguna will be installed in Bahuguna Market by the Ministry of Culture, Uttar Pradesh Government. The statue will be unveiled by Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman on December 30.
Former MP Prof. Rita Bahuguna Joshi gave this information to journalists in a hotel located on Civil Line on Monday.
He told that many programs will be organized in the memory of Late Kamala Bahuguna on her birth centenary. He informed that a debate competition is being organized by Hemwati Nandan Bahuguna Smriti Committee in 40 universities of Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand from 15 to 20 October on “Can real equality be achieved by giving reservation to women in India?” . The final competition will be held in Lucknow in the second week of November. In which first prize amount of Rs 51 thousand, second prize of Rs 31 thousand and third prize amount of Rs 21 thousand will be distributed.
