Mirzapur, 01 April (Hindus). In the case of shooting dead a young man in Chilah police station area, Judge Anmol Pal has sentenced two accused to life imprisonment and a fine of Rs 52,000 each. Three accused have been acquitted.
Sunil Kumar Yadav, a resident of Bhogaon village of Chilh police station area, had filed a named complaint against five accused for shooting dead his brother on November 13, 2010. On the basis of the complaint, Chilah police registered a case and took immediate action and arrested the named accused and sent them to jail.
As a result of effective advocacy by Public Prosecutor DGC Alok Kumar Rai, Investigative Inspector Ashutosh Kumar Ojha, Advocate Chief Constable Rajesh Kumar Bharti and Court Moharrir Chief Constable Dharmendra Kumar, Court Sessions Judge Anmol Pal convicted two accused Rajesh Kumar Singh alias Lallu and Rakesh Kumar Singh. alias Raju, son of Shamser Bahadur Singh, resident of Bhogaon, was sentenced to life imprisonment and a fine of Rs 52-52 thousand. In case of non-payment of fine, additional imprisonment of five years will have to be imposed. He acquitted three accused Vinod Kumar Singh alias Pappu, Dayashankar alias Gama and Vinod Yadav.
