Firozabad, March 13 (Hindustan Reporter) The court on Wednesday sentenced four accused of student kidnapping to life imprisonment. Fine has been imposed on them. If they do not pay the fine, they will have to face additional punishment.
5 year old Chirag alias Hardik, resident of Police Station North area, had gone to Jhalkari Nagar to study tuition on 15 November 2016. He did not return after completing the tuition. When he did not come, the family members lodged a missing complaint of the child. Police and family members started searching for him. On 20th November, Sarvesh son of Ram Bharose, resident of Peepal Nagar came to him along with his friends. He demanded Rs 2 lakh to release Hardik. Later the police freed the child.
The boy's mother Rita filed a case against Sarvesh son of Ram Bharose Rathore and Bhudev son of Mahendra resident of Peepal Nagar Police Station North, Vijay Ram son of Prem Pal Rathore and his son Vipin Rathore resident of Surajpur Kampil Farrukhabad. After investigation, the police filed a charge sheet against all four in the court.
The case was conducted in the court of Additional Sessions Judge, Special Judge Bandit Affected Area Court Number 1 Navneet Kumar Giri. Special Public Prosecutor Ajay Sharma, who is prosecuting the case on behalf of the prosecution, said that many witnesses testified during the trial. Many evidences were presented before the court. On the basis of which the court found all four guilty. The court has sentenced all four to life imprisonment. A fine of Rs 50,000 each has been imposed on them. In case of non-payment of fine, they will have to face additional punishment of one year each.
