Life imprisonment for fatal attack on Dalit palledar four years ago

Moradabad, 18 May (HS). The court of Moradabad Special Judge SC-ST Court (PA) Sandeep Gupta II on Saturday convicted his accomplice in the murderous attack on a Dalit palledar in Dilari police station area of ​​the district four years ago. The accused Hridesh son Ramchandra Singh has been sentenced to life imprisonment and a fine of Rs 1 lakh, eight thousand.

SC-ST Court's Special Public Prosecutor Anandpal Singh Advocate said that Ravidas Sagar, a resident of Dilari town, also works as a pallbearer in the government cheap coal warehouse to earn his living. Even on July 27, 2020, he had gone to work at the warehouse in Jul Dhakiya. Vicky, Raju and others were also with him. During this time, Jagpal Singh, the government cheap cattle seller of Baheri Brahman, came and the matter of unloading his goods was decided with Ravidas. During this time, Hriday Kashyap, who was present with him, got into a fight over unloading the goods.

It is alleged that Hridesh started insulting Ravidas with caste related words. When the matter escalated, the accused injured Ravidas by hitting him on the head with a brick. He became unconscious due to head injury. On the complaint of Dilari police, a case was registered against Hridesh under serious sections including SC-ST.

The case was heard in the court of Special Judge SC-ST Sandeep Gupta (II). Special Public Prosecutor Anand Pal Singh further said that two COs investigated the case. Due to this, seven people testified in the court. Arguing on behalf of the plaintiff, he presented the case of murderous attack and assault. After hearing both the parties, the court found Hridesh guilty and sentenced him to life imprisonment and Rs 50,000 in case of SC-ST and ten years and a fine of Rs 30,000 in case of murderous attack. Special Public Prosecutor says that a fine of Rs 1 lakh eight thousand has been imposed on the culprit under various sections.
