EPFO told the step by step process
EPFO has given the step by step process of submitting digital life certificate on social media platform X. According to EPFO, you should have a mobile phone with 5 megapixel front camera and internet. Your Aadhaar number should be registered. After this you have to download Jeevan Pramaan Face App and Aadhaar Face RD from Google Play Store. After this you have to scan your face and fill all the details. Also, you have to take a photo with the front camera and submit all the details. In this way your life certificate will be deposited without going to any bank or post office.
More than 6.6 lakh pensioners adopted this method
According to government data, there are currently about 78 lakh pensioners in the country. Out of these, more than 6.6 lakh pensioners have submitted digital life certificate in the financial year 2023-24. According to EPFO, 2.1 lakh people have submitted life certificate in this way in the financial year 2022-23. This figure has increased by more than 200 percent annually. Before the advent of this technology, all of them had to go to the banks. However, you still have the option of submitting this certificate by visiting the Common Service Center and government office.
