Lies and Aam Aadmi Party's support: Anurag Thakur

New Delhi, April 2 (HS). Union Minister of Information and Broadcasting and Youth and Sports Affairs Anurag Singh Thakur has termed AAP Party's statements in defense of Aam Aadmi Party leaders implicated in the liquor scam in Delhi as ridiculous and termed their actions as a betrayal of the people of Delhi.

Speaking to the media on Tuesday, Anurag Thakur said that one after another Aam Aadmi Party leaders went to jail in the liquor scam. Some have been in jail for 6 months and some have been in jail for one and a half years. This shows how big a betrayal he has committed with the public. This is unfortunate as well as worrying. There is no such relative who was not cheated by the Aam Aadmi Party.

Responding to the allegation by Aam Aadmi Party and Delhi Government Minister Atishi that BJP had offered him to join the party, Anurag Thakur said that in the last 4 to 5 years, you have met Aam Aadmi Party leaders not once but many times. You must have seen and heard such false statements. What else can you expect from a party whose base is lies and whose leaders are experts in telling one lie after another. Lies and AAP party are hand in hand. These people are expert in making headlines by telling lies. Today, in the same Ramlila Maidan where these people had pretended to fight against corruption by using Anna Hazare, they have brought the corrupt on one platform. This is extremely unfortunate.

He said that Arvind Kejriwal, who once used to swear by honesty, is today immersed in the quagmire of corruption and is in jail. Today every voter of Aam Aadmi Party is feeling cheated after listening to his previous statements. This is the same Arvind Kejriwal, who used to say that whoever sits on this chair becomes corrupt. Today he has proved his point. Think about those people who till yesterday were associated with Kejriwal's movement considering it true. How much pain he must be feeling today.
