Nawada, April 13 (HS). In view of the conduct of Lok Sabha General Elections 2024 in a clean, fair and peaceful environment and to maintain law and order, in the light of the order of the District Election Officer, Nawada, all through newspapers for weapons verification from 14.03.2024 to 15.03.2024. License holders were informed to attend the respective police stations for physical verification of their weapons. Also, its information was pasted on the notice boards of bus stops, all police station buildings and block offices. Despite the above information, some arms licensees have not got their weapons physically verified.
All licensees who have not physically verified the weapons have been instructed to submit their explanation for the irregularity along with updated evidence within 24 hours of receiving the letter. Otherwise the arms license will be canceled under the Arms Act. In case the clarification is not received within the stipulated time limit, the license can be canceled by taking unilateral action. All the concerned police station heads have been directed to ensure that the weapons of those arms license holders who have not yet got their weapons physically verified will be seized with immediate effect and deposited in the Malkhana.
