Jaipur, 7 December (Hindustan Reporter). There was fear of leopard for four hours in Vidyadhar Nagar of the city. The leopard kept running from the garden to the apartment and onto the street. Meanwhile, the leopard had also attacked three people. The forest department team was busy tranquillizing him. Leopard was tranquilized at 5:22 pm.
DCF (Deputy Conservator of Forest) Jagdish Gupta said that information about the movement of leopard was received in Vidyadhar Nagar. Leopard’s movement was found in the government guest house. CPWD was seen behind the plants in the garden. After this our team left for the spot to rescue the leopard.
A large part of Nahargarh forest area is connected to Vidyadhar Nagar area. In such a situation, movement of leopard in search of food or water can happen in this area.
Due to Jhalana and Amagarh leopard reserves in Jaipur, there is movement of leopards in large numbers. Earlier, the leopard had reached Manbagh in Jaisinghpura Khor and Ashiana Greenwood Society of Jagatpura. At the same time, leopard movement has taken place in Delhi Road, Jamvaramgarh, Malviya Nagar Jhalana area. During this period, the leopard has made cattle and wild animals its prey many times. An innocent child was also killed in Jamvaramgarh area.
The number of leopards has been increasing continuously in Jaipur for some time. About 75 leopards are living in Jhalana, Amagarh and Nahargarh Safari. Among these, maximum of about 45 leopards are in Jhalana. At the same time, more than 20 leopards are in the forests of Amagarh. Jaipur is the first city in the country to have two Leopard Safaris, one Lion Safari, one Tiger and one Elephant Safari.
