Legislative Council Parliamentary Studies Committee held a review meeting with Kumbh Mela officials and Prayagraj officials | News India

Prayagraj, 30 September (HS). A meeting was held with senior officials of the district in the presence of committee members Kiran Pal Kashyap and Babu Lal Tiwari in the Collectorate on Monday evening under the chairmanship of Surendra Chaudhary, Chairman of the Parliamentary Study Committee of the Legislative Council of Uttar Pradesh. The committee reviewed the details of the action taken in disposal of letters sent by public representatives for work in various departments and making them available to the concerned public representatives.

In the meeting, Chairman Surendra Chaudhary obtained information from the officers present about what action was taken on the letter sent by the public representatives and whether they were informed about that action or not. The Chairman was informed that whatever complaints are received from the public representatives, they are resolved and conveyed orally, in writing and also in person. On which the Chairman directed that while disposing of the cases sent by the public representatives, they should send the disposal report to the concerned public representative and inform them in writing about the action taken in the related case. He also said that whatever cases are sent to the office by public representatives, they should be disposed of within a maximum of 45 days and they should be informed about the action taken in every case.

The committee said that a separate register should be made in all the offices and all the details should be recorded in it to inform the public representative about when the letter was received from which public representative and what action was taken on it, when the report letter was sent etc. Expressing concern over the slow progress of the works being carried out by the committee in view of the Mahakumbh, the committee asked for action to be taken on the letters sent by public representatives regarding the works of saints and for making arrangements to provide food grains at cheap rates to the devotees coming to the fair area. . On which Kumbh Mela Officer Vijay Kiran Anand gave detailed information about the permanent, temporary and beautification works being done with a view to conduct the Maha Kumbh in a divine, grand, clean and safe manner and the stipulated period for completion of each work. Informing the committee, he said that we assure the committee that all the work related to Maha Kumbh will be completed on time with full quality.

The Chairman told all the officers that if the work suggested by the public representative is correct as per the rules, then it should be completed within the stipulated time limit or if the work is not suitable for any reason, then it should be informed along with the reason. The Chairman gave necessary guidelines after taking information from the concerned officers as to how many letters were sent by the department wise public representatives, how many cases were taken action on, how many are pending.

He has asked the District Magistrate to investigate the cases of registration of the same plot multiple times and take effective action on it. He asked to investigate the evidence and take necessary action as to what is the basis for raising objections in disputed cases of admission-dismissal in tehsils.

The Chairman said that the government led by the Chief Minister is definitely working in the public interest. How can development reach the public's doorstep? The public has expectations from every public representative. The public representative is also working in that direction. The main objective of all of us is that public representatives and officers should establish mutual coordination and work with full transparency and well-being for the public interest.

Member Kiran Pal Kashyap while directing the officers said that in the works being done under Jal Jeevan Mission, timely supply of drinking water should be ensured and the roads which have been dug for laying pipes and other works should be repaired in time. So that the public can get relief.

Member Babu Lal Tiwari asked the District Magistrate and DCP to direct all the officers and police officers of the district to ensure that at least the phone number along with the name of the public representative of that district is fed in their mobile and they receive the phone.

At the end of the meeting, District Magistrate Ravindra Kumar Mandad assured the committee and said that the guidance and guidelines given by the committee in the meeting will be followed by all the officers and the letters from all the public representatives will be duly cognized and effective action will be taken thereon. While taking action, all the references will be recorded in the register and the public representatives will be informed timely about the action taken.

On this occasion, former MLA Deepak Patel, committee officer Vinod Yadav, review officer Saurabh Dixit, Additional Private Secretary Vikas Yadav, Additional District Magistrate Nagar Madan Kumar, Additional District Magistrate Finance and Revenue Vinay Kumar Singh, Chief Revenue Officer Kunwar Pankaj, Additional District Magistrate Supply and others were present. Officials from all concerned departments were present.
