Legislative committee got angry when it could not give correct information about RT Act

The meeting of the Inquiry Committee related to commercialization of education of the Legislative Council was held on Wednesday in the Gandhi Auditorium of the Collectorate under the chairmanship of Chairman Dr. Manvendra Singh (Guru Ji). In which committee members like Vijay Bahadur Pathak, Angad Kumar Singh, Avinash Singh Chauhan etc. were present.

In the meeting, the Chairman said that to study in Government Engineering College, a caution money of Rs 5,000 is required to be deposited from the students at the time of admission. A rule should be made to return the caution money, so that if the student is not coming to take back the money, then such amount should be transferred to the Student Welfare Fund and used in the interest of the students. Said that the educational institutions which are providing high school and intermediate education by taking recognition from class 05 to 08, such schools should be investigated by the block education officers and such system should be stopped. Meanwhile, expressing his displeasure with the District Basic Education Officer Farrukhabad, Auraiya and Kannauj for not providing satisfactory information regarding the RT Act, the Chairman issued instructions to write a letter to the government.

He said that under the RT Act, there is a provision to provide free admission to children from poor families in private schools. The officials of the three districts should ensure to provide the details to the committee including the quota for the children of such poor families at the district level under the RT Act, how many applications have been received in the financial year and the reasons for how many applications were rejected.

The Chairman instructed the Assistant Divisional Transport Officers of the three districts that the vehicles of educational institutions should be yellow in color as per the standard. The contracted vehicles installed in educational institutions should be as per the standard, if the vehicle is found out of standard, action should be taken. Said that the duty of a female colleague should be compulsorily imposed in the vehicles being used for women in educational institutions.

He discussed in detail about fee determination in private schools and gave necessary guidelines to the concerned present. He said that there should be provision for drinking water and electricity connections in all primary schools. While reviewing the mid-day meal, instructions were given that the food menu is fixed for 6 days and the food should be distributed as per the prescribed menu.

While giving instructions to the officials of the three districts, he said that the leave applications, pension, deceased dependent appointment applications, other bill payment applications etc. of the employees working in educational institutions should be disposed of immediately. The Chairman said that the main objective of this committee is to give such suggestions to the government, by which the basic facilities of educational institutions can be improved to benefit the people at the last rung of the society, and they can be protected and protected.

In the meeting, District Magistrate Shubhrant Kumar Shukla, Chief Development Officer Shri Ram Kripal Choudhary, Additional District Magistrate (V/R) Ashish Kumar Singh, Chief Development Officer Farrukhabad, Auraiya, District Development Officer Kannauj, District Economics and Statistics Officer Kannauj and all the related representatives of the three districts of the district were present.
