He justified the police action taken against actor Allu Arjun and refused to blame the Telangana Police. Pawan Kalyan said that the law is equal for everyone and the police should take action giving priority to public safety.

Stampede broke out during the screening of ‘Pushpa 2’
A 35-year-old woman, Revathi, lost her life and her son was injured in a stampede during the screening of ‘Pushpa 2’ on December 4. After this incident, Hyderabad Police arrested actor Allu Arjun, although he later got bail. After this, Allu Arjun and the producers of the film announced an ex-gratia amount of Rs 2 crore to the victim’s family.

Speaking to reporters in Mangalagiri, Pawan Kalyan said that law enforcement agencies should ensure public safety in such incidents. He also said that the theater management should have informed Allu Arjun about the situation earlier. He stressed that if Allu Arjun had contacted the victim’s family first, the tension could have been reduced.
