Launch postponed till 2026, know what are the updates and features

The wait for the new generation of Renault Duster, which has been a popular SUV in India, has become longer. It was earlier expected to be launched in 2025, but now according to new reports, its launch has been rescheduled to 2026. Renault India Managing Director Venkatram Mamillapalle shared the company’s plans for the upcoming cars, but did not directly discuss the new-generation Duster.

Renault’s 2025 plans

  • New-generation Triber and Kiger:
    • The company will launch updated versions of both these cars.
    • These two models contribute to 80% of Renault’s sales.
    • The new model will have sharp styling and upgraded features.
  • SUVs of 2026:
    • Venkatram has confirmed the launch of a new SUV in 2026.
    • This will probably be the new-generation Duster.

New-gen Renault Duster: Exterior updates

  1. Front Design:
    • Completely new and modern.
    • Use of Renault badging grille.
    • The traditional rhombus symbol was removed.
  2. Dimension:
    • Length: 4343mm.
    • Wheelbase: 2657mm.
    • The stance of the SUV is as strong as before.

New-gen Renault Duster: Interior updates

  1. Interior Design:
    • Interior layout inspired by the Dacia Duster available in Romania.
    • The new steering wheel will be exclusive to the Indian model.
  2. Technology:
    • 7-inch virtual dashboard.
    • 10.1-inch touchscreen multimedia system emblazoned on the front panel.
    • Driver-centric design, better driving experience.

New-gen Renault Duster: Engine options

The 2025 Renault Duster will come with different engine options in the international markets.

  1. 1.0 TCe Engine (3-cylinder):
    • Power: 100 hp.
    • Fuel: Gasoline.
  2. 1.2 TCe mild-hybrid engine:
    • Power: 130 hp.
    • Features: 48-volt starter-generator.
    • Special: All-wheel drive support.
  3. E-Tech Hybrid Engine:
    • Engine: 1.6L four-cylinder.
    • Electric motor: included.
    • Power output: 140 hp.

What will be different in the India-spec model?

  • The India-spec model may have slight changes from the international version.
  • The features and engine options will be designed keeping in mind the needs of Indian customers.
