Prime Minister Narendra Modi has written a post on LinkedIn sharing his views on India's significant achievement in defense and aerospace journey with the inauguration of C-295 aircraft manufacturing complex in Vadodara. The title of the post is, 'India's defense revolution takes off.'
Terming the launch of the C-295 aircraft manufacturing complex as a 'watershed moment' in India's defense and aerospace journey, the Prime Minister said that we are going to give more impetus to this sector in the times to come. The speed of implementation is impressive as the journey from foundation stone to operational facility was completed in just two years. India's defense production to increase to Rs. 50,000 in 2023-24 1.27 trillion while defense exports have now increased to Rs. 21,000 crores.
The Prime Minister appealed to the youth, startups, manufacturers and innovators to be a part of the country's defense sector, saying that from the time when the defense forces faced acute shortage of equipment to today's era of self-reliance, Till now, this is a journey that every Indian can be proud of. Indigenous warships under production are patrolling the waters while Indian-made missiles have strengthened the country's security. Indigenous bulletproof jackets are protecting the soldiers and India is becoming self-reliant in defence. It is also working to become a top manufacturer of defense equipment.
