Last day of 44-day election campaign, voting is taking place on 57 seats | Live Updates, Unveiling the Latest India News Trends

Today is the voting day for the last phase of Lok Sabha elections 2024. In which voting is taking place on 57 seats in seven states and one union territory. This also includes PM Modi's rally in Varanasi. The seats on which voting is taking place today include 13-13 from Punjab and UP, 9 from West Bengal, 8 from Bihar, 6 from Odisha, 4 from Himachal Pradesh, 3 from Jharkhand and 1 from Chandigarh. The election results will come on June 4.

Voting started at 7 am
Voting has started on these 57 seats and will continue till 6 pm. Then exit polls will come which will reveal the mood of the voters.

The future of many giants is at stake
The future of many big political leaders is at stake in this phase of voting. Union Minister Anurag Thakur is contesting from Hamirpur, Mamta Banerjee's nephew Abhishek Banerjee from Diamond Harbor, Lalu Prasad Yadav's daughter Misa Bharti from Pataliputra and actress Kangana Ranaut from Mandi seat. It can be said that the longest running Lok Sabha election in the country is ending today. PM Modi is contesting from Varanasi for the third time.

Among other big leaders, Meera Kumar's son Anshul Avijit is contesting against Ravi Shankar Prasad from Patna Sahib. Vikramaditya of the royal family of Congress is in the fray against Kangana from Mandi seat. BJP has also worked hard to break Afzal Ansari's stronghold in Ghazipur. Parasnath Rai is in Mulabala. Union Minister Anupriya Patel is in Mirzapur. She is contesting against BJP rebel Ramesh Bind.

Will BJP fulfill the slogan of 400?
In such a situation, the last round of the battle is interesting. BJP has won Purvanchal through caste arithmetic. In Bengal too, TMC had won all the 9 seats last time, out of which half of the seats had a big margin. BJP has special hopes from Punjab. Because there Aam Aadmi Party is not with Congress and BJP has given tickets to many leaders of both. However, it will be known only after the election results whether this bet was successful or failed.

However, BJP has always maintained its stance that this time it will cross 400. But after the 5th phase of polling, India Alliance started saying that they are crossing 300. Earlier, their leaders were only talking about BJP's seats, not their own. It should also be known which leaders have given what statement in this regard.

Tejashwi Yadav said that BJP will not get more than 240 seats. Arvind Kejriwal claimed that BJP will win 220 seats. Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge said that BJP will not even get 200 seats. Mamta Banerjee also gave the same figure that BJP will stop at 200 seats. Priyanka Gandhi reduced it by 20 seats and said that BJP will get 180 seats. Rahul Gandhi also reduced it by 30 seats and said that only 150 seats will be won. Akhilesh Yadav reduced 10 more seats and said that BJP will get stuck at 140.

Now that the elections are in their final phase, only one shortcoming has been noticed and that is that the opposition now believes itself to be 300+. Whereas there has been no change in the confidence of the BJP about crossing 400. Whatever it may be… whose claims and beliefs will be true, it will be known only when the results come on 4 June.
