Last date of application extended, now apply till 10th January

Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has extended the last date of application for Single Girl Child Scholarship. Now girl students can apply online till January 10, 2025. Earlier the last date for application was 23 December 2024. Interested girl students can apply by visiting cbse.gov.in.

Along with this, application for renewal of scholarship for session 2023 can also be made till January 10, 2025. Verification of applications by schools will be done by 17 January 2025.

Eligibility for the scheme

This scholarship scheme is for girl students who are the only child of their parents and fulfill the following conditions:

• Academic Qualification:
  • 70% or more marks in class 10th examination.
  • Currently enrolled in class 11th or 12th in a CBSE affiliated school.
• Tuition Fees:
  • Tuition fees for class 10 should not exceed ₹2500/- per month.
  • Tuition fees for classes 11 and 12 should not exceed ₹3000/- per month.
• family income:
  • Annual family income should be ₹8 lakh or less.

Required Documents

The following information and documents are mandatory to apply:

• Bank Name, Account Number, RTGS/NEFT Details, IFSC Code, and Bank Address.
• It is mandatory to sign the application.

Scholarship amount and duration

• Under the scholarship, the selected girl students will be given an amount of ₹ 1000 per month.
• This scholarship will be provided for a maximum of 2 years.

3. Fill the application form and upload the required documents.
4. After submitting the application, download a copy of it.
