The last date for updating Aadhaar card has been extended once again. Now Indian citizens can update Aadhaar card for free till 14 June 2025. Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) informed about this decision through its official Twitter handle. Earlier this date was 14 December 2024, but now it has been extended by 6 months.
Free Aadhaar Update: New Last Date
UIDAI has announced that the new last date to update Aadhaar for free is June 14, 2025. People who want to make changes in their Aadhaar can update it for free through myAadhaar portal till this date.
If you update after June 14, 2025, you will have to pay a fee.
Fees will have to be paid for offline updates
UIDAI has clarified that if you go to the Aadhaar center to update it offline, you will have to pay a charge for it.

- Visit the official website of UIDAI:
- Select ‘My Aadhaar’ section:
- Here click on the option ‘Update your Aadhaar’.
- Go to ‘Update Aadhaar Details (Online):
- Now select the ‘Document Update’ option.
- Enter Aadhar Number and Captcha:
- Enter your Aadhaar number and the captcha code shown on the screen.
- Then click on ‘Send OTP’.
- Enter OTP:
- Enter the OTP sent on your registered mobile number.
- Select Update Details:
- Select the information you want to update (e.g., name, address, date of birth).
- Upload Documents:
- Upload the required documents.
- Submit request:
- Submit the request after updating the information.
- You will receive an Update Request Number (URN) via SMS to know the status of the update.
