The children who became langurs were first bathed in the sacred pond and after worship, they were dressed in langur costumes and danced to the beat of the drum. In this langur fair which lasts for 10 days, devotees turn their children into langurs and bow to them in the morning and evening and on the next day of Dussehra, after bowing, the langur's uniform is taken off. Let us also tell you that the history of this temple is related to the Ramayana period, during the Ramayana period, when Shri Ram ji had left the horse of Ashwamedh Yagya, then Luv-Kush had caught this horse and tied it to a log during the war. Shri Durgiana Temple Committee President Professor Lakshmi Kanta Chawla and General Secretary Arun Khanna said that the temple committee has made complete arrangements for the security and food of the devotees coming to the Langur Fair and has also prepared Prasad for the devotees observing fast. The temple committee has deployed staff and arranged for pundits to worship the children who will become langurs and also complete care will be taken about the accommodation and food of the pilgrims. He said that today, on the first day of Navratri, Shri Hanuman Temple has been opened in the morning and police personnel have been deployed at various places for the safety of the devotees.

Strict rules for making children langur
