New Delhi. After the Modi government came to power for the third time in the country, it seems as if good days have come for Andhra Pradesh, Amaravati and the state's future CM Chandrababu Naidu. On June 12, Chandrababu Naidu will take oath as the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh in Amaravati. But, even before this, the price of land in this city has doubled in 3 days. Actually, Chandrababu Naidu has talked about developing Amaravati as the Green Capital of Andhra Pradesh. In such a situation, the property prices here have increased rapidly. Chandrababu Naidu was the Chief Minister of the state from 2014 to 2019. At that time Chandrababu Naidu had proposed to make Amaravati the capital. He dreamed of making the Greenfield capital Amaravati more prosperous from the environmental point of view. The city is located between the cities of Vijayawada and Guntur and includes 29 villages.
Land prices increased after elections
According to a TOI report, real estate prices in Amaravati city of Andhra Pradesh have increased by 50 to 100 percent after the results of the Lok Sabha elections. Since Chandrababu Naidu has been interested in developing Amaravati city as the capital from the very beginning, if this announcement happens in the coming days, it will greatly benefit Amaravati. This possibility has led to a rapid increase in land and property prices in Amaravati.
What are land prices?
– Land prices in Amravati in 2019 were Rs 25,000 to Rs 60,000 per sq yard.
– After the formation of Jagan Mohan Reddy government the prices increased from Rs 9000 to Rs 18,000 per square yard.
– Now after Chandrababu Naidu's return to power, land prices here have increased to Rs 30,000 to Rs 60,000 per square yard.
The highest demand in these areas
There is a huge demand for land in Amravati near educational institutions, High Court, Legislative Assembly, Secretariat and Central Government institutions. Retailers, brokers and farmers are getting offers to buy land from countries like the US, UK and Australia.
The farmers of the city are hopeful that Chandrababu Naidu will take oath as the Chief Minister on June 12 and PM Modi will attend the swearing-in ceremony. If any big announcement is made regarding Amaravati on this occasion, then the prices of land here will increase further. Earlier in 2019, after the announcement of the 3 capitals plan by former CM YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, the prices of land in Amaravati had fallen. But now the picture has changed along with the government.
