Haridwar, 21 October (HS). The victim made serious allegations against Mishra Garden Kankhal resident Upadesh Chaudhary and others regarding illegal occupation of agricultural land allotted by Gram Panchayat Jagjitpur. The victim also accused the police of harassing her in front of the media.
While talking to the journalists at Press Club Haridwar, Pramila daughter Mahendra, resident of Jagjitpur said that in the year 1997, leases were allotted by the Gram Panchayat Jagjitpur to her father Mahendra, son Ramshah, uncle Samerchand etc., but in the year 2002, the lease period ended. Due to this, the said allotment was canceled by the then Sub-District Magistrate, Haridwar, regarding which all the allottees filed a complaint with the Commissioner Garhwal Division, in which the Additional Commissioner Division, in accordance with the order of the Sub-District Magistrate, Haridwar, dated 16.11.2002, vide its order dated 12.12.2012 Cancelled, and at present case number 52 of 2002, Rule 176 A (2) JV Act, Gram Sabha vs Vidya etc. is pending against the allottees in the Sub-District Magistrate, Haridwar.
Told that after the death of her father Allottee Mahendra and uncle Sameer, the victim's other uncle Kanwarpal son Ramshah had handed over the land of her uncle Sameer to Mauja Jagjitpur Land Mafia located at Khasra No. 293, Area 0.143, to late Chaudhary son. Raj Singh along with his other associates Appu Walia son of Namalum, Vinod Saini son of Baburam Saini, Jaideep Walia son of Namalum and Vinod Saini son of Baburam Saini, Jaideep Walia son of Mohan Walia was trying to capture the spot with lakhs of rupees.
The victim told that when she and her brothers tried to stop them, Kavanarpal son Ramshah, Arjun and Bhim sons Kavanarpal resident of Jagjitpur police station Kankhal district Haridwar and Upadesh Chaudhary used caste based words and threatened them of implicating them in a false case. Regarding this, the victim also filed an application in the SSP office, State Women Commission and Scheduled Caste Commission, pleading for justice. It is alleged that Upadesh Choudhary even sent me a notice to put pressure on me.
While talking to the journalists, the victim said that in order to put pressure on her in the case, the accused, along with the police, called me and my sister to Jagjitpur outpost, where they were treated unfairly and left at around 11 pm, which is a cruel thing to do with a woman. It is unjust and against policy.
