Ashoknagar, May 17 (Hindustan Reporter) Till now, cases of land mafia grabbing people's private and other government lands were coming to light in the city. Now the morale of the mafia is so high that even the police and the municipality were not spared. Due to complaints, the revenue staff has been searching for the police and municipal lands for the last three days. On Friday, SDM, Tehsildar, Girdawar, Patwari were seen searching the said lands near Dehat police station.
Regarding the matter, Dehat police station in-charge RPS Chauhan told Hindusthan Samachar that there is three bighas of land of Dehat police station near the Dehat police station and 0.627 hectare land on the other side of the road. Out of which there is a possibility of encroachment on about half of the bigha land, regarding which a letter was written to the Collector and SDM regarding demarcation. He also says that the construction of a building was being done by encroaching on the land of the police station, which has been stopped.
Meanwhile, Chief Municipal Officer Vinod Unnitan also told Hindusthan Samachar that demarcation is being done on five bigha land of the municipality and the said five bigha land has been captured.
On land mafia grabbing police and municipal lands in this way, investigating officer SDM Anil Banwaria says that the investigation and demarcation process is going on continuously for three days, the investigation has not reached the result yet. Nothing can be told by them right now. As cases of land grabbing by land mafias are continuously coming to light in the city, people are surprised that everywhere they look, there is discussion of mafias and what the district administration officials have been doing till now.
Notice to land mafia: SDM has sent notices to 28 colonizers regarding colonies cut on government lands by land mafia in the city. It seems that now the game of notice betting has started. In fact, whenever cases of illegal colonies of colonizers have come to light. Immediately the action of giving notice was started by the then SDM, and later the matter kept dragging on.
Scindia has also raised the issue of mafias: Union Minister and candidate from Guna parliamentary seat Jyotiraditya Scindia has also repeatedly raised the issue of land mafia in his election speeches. But the administrative officials are maintaining silence citing the investigation and only a period of notice-notice is visible.
