Earlier on September 18, Delhi's Rouse Avenue Court had issued summons to former Bihar Chief Minister Lalu Yadav, former Deputy Chief Minister Tejashwi Yadav, Tej Pratap Yadav and other accused in the 'job for land' money laundering case. They have been asked to appear in court on October 7.

The court has also sent summons to Akhileshwar Singh and his wife Kiran Devi. He was also the director of AK Infosys Limited. The court has summoned Lalu Yadav, Tejashwi Yadav, Tej Pratap Yadav, Akhileshwar Singh, Hazari Prasad Rai, Sanjay Rai, Dharmendra Singh, Kiran Devi on October 7.

Lalu Yadav is accused of forcing people to buy land or sell it to their families in exchange for jobs in the railways. This case is from the time when Lalu Yadav was the Railway Minister from 2004 to 2009. The CBI has alleged in its chargesheet that when Lalu Yadav was the Railway Minister, he made recruitments by ignoring the rules. To get a job, people sold their lands to the Lalu family at five times the market price. Some of these lands were in the name of Lalu Yadav's family and some were in the name of his close relatives and family members.
