A mysterious fever 'Langra Fever' is spreading rapidly in Patna, the capital of Bihar, due to which concern has increased among the local people. Especially in those areas where dengue outbreaks were seen earlier, people are being more affected by this new disease. Patients of this fever are facing serious problems like severe pain and swelling in the legs. Experts are trying to reach the root of this mysterious disease so that it can be treated and prevented in time.
Many cases of this fever have been reported in Lohanipur, Kadamkuan, Bhootnath Road and some other areas of Patna. According to media reports, about 20 to 25 percent of the patients admitted to the hospital complaining of fever are showing symptoms of this mysterious disease. The shocking thing is that when patients are tested for diseases like dengue or chikungunya, their results are negative. This is making it difficult for doctors to correctly diagnose lameness fever.
Symptoms of Lame Fever
The symptoms seen in lame fever patients are slightly different from other common fevers. Patients of this fever complain of unbearable pain and swelling, especially in the legs. Apart from this, the following symptoms are also seen:
* high fever
* Heaviness in legs and difficulty in walking
* Swelling in feet and knees
* Body weakness and fatigue
* Pain in joints and muscles
Due to these symptoms, this disease has been named 'lame fever', because the patients suffering from it have difficulty even walking.
