Lucknow, 03 July (HS). The state government, which is striving to attract big investments in the state as well as to speed up industrial development, has started preparations to equip the Bulk Drug Pharma Park in Lalitpur district with world class Common Infrastructure Facilities (CIF).
As per the vision of Chief Minister Yogi, Uttar Pradesh State Industrial Development Authority (UPIDA) has started preparations for the development of Bulk Drug Pharma Park in Lalitpur. In this sequence, UPIDA has issued a Global Expression of Interest (EOI) for the development of Bulk Drug Park in Lalitpur. This Global EOI will help in developing Lalitpur Drug Park as a hub of units manufacturing 'Key Starting Materials' (KSM) and 'Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients' (API), important components of the pharma sector.
Development will be based on PPP mode in 1120 acre area
The vision behind the development of Bulk Drug Pharma Park in Lalitpur is that Chief Minister Yogi wants to develop this region according to the pharma needs of the country. High quality medicines should be manufactured here which are affordable and India's self-reliance in the field of bulk drug production should increase, in view of this goal, the development process of Bulk Drug Park is being promoted in Lalitpur.
It is noteworthy that Lalitpur Bulk Drug Park is being developed on Public Private Partnership (PPP) mode in an area of 1120 acres. In such a situation, EOI has been issued to attract global leaders of the pharma sector including the country for the development of Lalitpur Bulk Drug Park.
The path will be paved for large scale industrial townships
According to the action plan prepared for the development of Lalitpur Bulk Drug Pharma Park, the way will be paved for the development of large scale industrial townships, sectoral specific industrial parks and other industrial areas. As per the EOI issued by UPSIDA, a developer agency will be determined to complete all these development works. Lalitpur Bulk Drug Pharma Park is being linked to world-class infrastructure and excellent connectivity through road and rail networks, which will pave the way for convenient movement of logistics.
The state will act as a manufacturing powerhouse for the pharma sector
It will act as the state manufacturing powerhouse for pharmaceutical products. Also, this Pharma Park will also act as an incubator for the emerging pharma and bulk drug manufacturing industries in Lalitpur. It will be equipped with many world class facilities including standard practices like zero liquid discharge for disposal of chemical discharge.
Global parameters will become the basis of development, it will be equipped with many world class facilities
Bulk Drug Pharma Park in Lalitpur will be developed on the basis of global parameters. Here the park will be equipped with solid waste management and incinerator, storm water drain network, common solvent storage system and solvent recovery and distillation plant. The bulk drug park will be equipped with facilities like steam generation inclusive cooling tower, common warehouses, dedicated power station and distribution system, raw portable and demineralized water facility. At the same time, facilities like Advanced Laboratory Testing Center, Emergency Response Center, Hazards Operation Audit Center and Center of Excellence will also be developed here.
